Poems Flashcards
Ozymandias
Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Whose grown and wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Look on my works ye mighty and despair
London
And mark in every face I meet marks of weakness marks of woe
The mind forged manacles I hear
How the youthful harlots curse blasts the new born infants tear
The prelude
The horizons bound a huge peak black and huge
And growing still in stature the grim shape towered up between me and the stars
O’er my thoughts there hung a darkness
My last duchess
Will’t please you sit and look at her
Sir, ‘‘twas not her husbands presence only called that spot of joy into the Duchess’ cheek
I have command then all smiles stopped together
Charge if the light brigade
Not though the soldier know someone has blundered
Into the jaws of death into the mouth of hell
Honour the charge they made! Honour the light brigade, noble six hundred
