metaphor for it being pointless
are bombarded by the empty air

first line
suddenly he awoke and was running
BAYONET CHARGE-
the man doesn’t know what he’s doing
like a man who has jumped up in the dark
BAYONET CHARGE-
his terror is getting too much - he’s fragile and week
his terrors touchy dinamite
