When should you send an initial message from an incident and how often must you send informatives?
Initial message should be sent as soon as practical but within 20 minutes
Informatives then every 30 minutes or 60 on 8 pumps and above
When attending incidents on other FRA grounds, what call sign is used?
Call signs will be brigade, and station name in full, followed by appliance in full. Eg;
London fire brigade, Greenwich turntable ladder
What is the normal message sequence? (Not all will be required from all incidents)
A) Assistance
B) Informative
C) Further assistance and informatives as necessary
D) Fire surrounded message (only for 6 pump fires and above or 3 main jets used)
E) Stop message
F) Further informatives as necessary
G) Requests for reliefs/revisits
What do the following appliance statuses mean? 1 2 3 6 7 8 9 0 15 25 35
1) At station
2) Mobile to incident
3) in attendance
6) mobile and available
7) SR / second line availability (exceptional circumstances)
8) mobilising by telephone, no printer
9) mobile between batch incidents
0) not available
15) mobile to standby
25) in attendance at standby station
35) in attendance at standy location (non-station)
