Can do TFT, FBC, electrolytes, creatinine, FSH, oestradiol

Mx of PMS
A
- First line: CBT, exercise, dietary advice
- CHC - EE and Drospirinone
- SSRI - Fluoxetine/Sertraline 14days before menstruation

**PCOS
A
- > 12cysts/ovary
- Obese, Inc testosterone, dec estrogen,
- FSH/LH = 1/3 (normal = 3/1)
- Best: Sr testosterone**
- Rx: (for infertility <35yrs)
Obese - diet, wt loss x6months.. tabsMetformin - obesity and DM
Drospirinone/ciproterone acetate - acne, hirsutism
> 35yrs for infertility, directly start clomefine citrate»_space; metformin
If not working - Gonadotropins

Diagnostic criteria for PCOS
A
Two of the following three criteria are required:
- oligo/anovulation
- hyperandrogenism
clinical (hirsutism or less commonly male pattern alopecia) or
biochemical (raised FAI or free testosterone) - polycystic ovaries on ultrasound
