Program
A program is a group of related projects, sub programs or other work coordinated together and managed in a coordinated fashion to support the portfolio.
Portfolio
A portfolio is a collection of projects programs, subportfolios and operations managed as a group to achieve strategic objectives.
Project management
The application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.
Baseline
The approved version of a work product that can be changed only through formal change control procedures and is used as a basis for comparison.
Organizational process assets
Plans, processes, policies, procedures and knowledge bases specific to and used by the performing organization.
Enterprise environmental factors
Conditions, not under the immediate control of the team, that influence, constrain, or direct the project, program or portfolio.
Progressive Elaboration
The iterative process of increasing the level of detail in a project management plan as greater amounts of information and more accurate estimates become available.
Project
A project is a temporary (finite) endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result.
