Q

If a FPC is failed, can the instructor continue to operate even if their FPC hasnt expired?

A

No,
As soon as any FPC is failed, they cannot use their instructor rating.

In qantas under the TACM, this is listed under a failure under the SD sessions, and you will be restricted from training duties.

Note:- If under a SD session in your own seat, FO. Are unsastisfactory, OPTION B, then you will also be restricted from flying. However, if in other seat like captain seat, they may give an Option D, where you are restricted from training but are still deemed acceptable for the line.
