Definition of a license under PL
A
License, granted by licensor, allows license to occupy land that is not theirs, without falling into category of “life estate”, “fee tail”, etc. Licensee may also enjoy the rights and benefits stemming from the land, with/without occupying it. These rights will not fall into other categories, such as easements, profits, covenants etc.
