When and what was the Ridolfi plot?
A
1571 - Italian banker Ridolfi was working as one of the Pope’s spies in England. He planned to kill Elizabeth. William Cecil found out about plot and Ridolfi was exiled

When and what was the Throckmorton Plot?
A
1583 - Francis Throckmorton planned with France to invade England and remove Elizabeth. Francis Walsingham (spy) found out and Throckmorton was tortured and killed. MQS was moved to Tilbury Castle

When and what was the Babington Plot?
A
1586 - Anthony Babington planned to rescue Mary from prison. Letters between MQS and plotters were found. MQS’s guilt was proven and she was eventually executed.
Supported by the Pope and King of Spain.
