A
- Dido tells Anna that ‘ever since the death of my poor husband Sychaeus’ she has made a vow to never love another man (shows her pietas)
- Tells Anna that she is tempted to ‘rescind its laws’ (the laws she has set for herself regarding falling in love again), but is still very much against the idea
- Anna tries to convince her to try her hand with Aeneas
