The introduction to the plot.

- setting is revealed
- mood or tone is established
Rising action.
Complication happen and conflict is established
Plot
Plot is a series of events that drive a story.
Conflict
What needs to be solved. There are 4 types of conflict
- person v. Person
- Person v. Society
- Person v. Nature
- Person v. Self
Climax
The high point of interest and suspense in the plot.
Falling action
Consists of all of the events that follow the climax.
Resolution
The point at which the central conflict is ended or resolved.
Chronological order
Unfolds events in order of occurrence
Flashback
Interrupts time sequence and presents an event that occurred earlier or in the past.
Foreshadowing
Clues about what is happening.
