Self-pity is abuse and a terrible Christian crutch. I read 2 Corinthians 9:8 and know I have the Midas Touch.

Letting go is a part of life, for God is my beginning and my end. I take righteous risks forsaking fear and comfort to invite greatness in. Every great person of notoriety was once just a neighborhood kid with a dream. There will be plot twists, but my story will end happily because I’ve been redeemed.

God can mold the heart to turn a rejection into a “no, for now”. I will focus on my eternal why, without demanding details for my earthly “how”. All things are working for my good, which means today’s obstacles are tomorrow’s opportunity. Sharing in Christs sufferings feels like losing, but God’s children will win ultimately.

I remain grateful and grounded. “Perhaps I was created for such a time as this.” Spiritual death happens one compromise at a time so I will read, trust and obey. I will suit up, plant seeds, and enjoy the sights along the Narrow Way.
