Plato has not given any evidence
A
he has not argued a case which proves the soul’s existence. Rather, Plato has hypothesised a situation in which after one dies, one’s soul will continue to exist elsewhere. This idea may have been conceivable and acceptable to his contemporaries, but there is no philosophical backing for such an idea; Plato assumes that this hypothesis will be accepted without reason.
