What is the form of a thing?
That which makes it intelligible. For example, what allows us to identify a chair as a chair and not something else.
What is the image of the divided line?
An image in Book VI of the Republic divided into two realms: the visible and the intelligible.
What is the Allegory of the Cave?
Man in his natural condition is like a prisoner trapped in a cave and forced to look at images on the walls. Philosophy is the movement from the images, to the image-makers, to the form, and finally to the idea of good.
