Describe Plato’s view
-Believed that knowledge is innate
- must use mathematical principles to describe the world while sensory information is misleading
- the soul has three parts

What is Aristotle’s view?
To know truth you need to understand the cause of the object/idea(material, formal and final cause)
Believed that there are rules that guide memory. (Law of similarly, contrast, contiguity and frequency)

- He believed that knowledge is present in you before birth
