They both go up creating mountains and volcanoes

It creates an earthquake
What is subduction?
Subduction is when two continental crusts are different densities so the dense one goes down
What causes the movement of tectonic plates?
The convection currents of the magma in the mantle.
What happens when 2 oceanic divergent plates diverge?
Magma comes up creating new plates
What is an oceanic plate?
A newer tectonic plate in the ocean mostly made of basalt
What is a continental plate?
An older tectonic plate under the continents
