Planned emergency checklist (700/800) Flashcards
Four chimes from pilots
A- Call pilots immediately Report to flight deck if directed. Ask TNT
B/C/D- Secure galleys, Pull circuit breakers, and ensure exits are unobstructed and slides are armed.
Cabin crew briefing
A- Brief B,C,D on TNT info and synchronize wristwatches. Turn lights onto bright/white bright
B,C,D- Report to fwd galley for briefing from A. Obtain checklist and synchronize watches.
Pax briefing and demo
A- Take position fwd in view of cabin and read PA. Assist as necessary with briefings.
B,C,D- Take positions and demo every five rows. Point to exits, conduct a walk thru (checking seat belts, seat backs…etc), display safety info card, demo adult and child brace positions, and brief.
ABA briefing
A-D- Identify ABAs and use safety info cards to illustrate specific points
Closing PA and final walk through
A- Read PA. Confirm with B-D that the cabin is prepared. Conduct final walk though (time permitting). Adjust lights to outside conditions
Pilot update
A- Notify Captain that the cabin is prepared
Five minutes to landing (2 low chimes or pilot PA)
A-D- Check time, take jumpseat and conduct a silent 30 second review
One minute to landing
A-D- Assume brace positions, repeat command “heads down, stay down”
A/C stops
A- Pax remain seated. “A” communicates with pilots about the evacuation decision if no command has been heard within a reasonable time.
B-D- Pax remain seated and assess cabin conditions
Pilot orders evacuation
A- Deliver commands and conduct evacuation
B- Activates emergency lights
B-D- Deliver commands and conduct evacuation.
After pax evacuate
Ensure all pax have evacuated and take emergency equipment as time allows.
