- mass lesions (hypothalamus, pit)
- w/o mass lesions:
- congenital isolated hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
- acquired hypopituitarism
- sheehan syndrome
- funcitonal hypopituitarism

congenital isolated hypogonadtropic hypogonadism
A
- occurs in genes that cause prod of GnRH, LH, FSH:
- unnamed (many diff mutations)
- Prader Willi syndrome
- Kallmann syndrome
- occurs with congenital adrenal hypoplasia

A
- 1/3 have def in GH
- dec sense of smell

Prader Willi syndrome
A
- insatiable appetite
- prone to emotional outbursts
- small hands and feet
- intellectual disabilities

prolactinoma- tx?
A
dopamine agonist
- cabergoline
- bromocriptine

prolactinoma- can also suppress what?
A
testosterone (low libido, sexual fxn)
-replace the testosterone!

Diabetes insipidus (ADH Def)- tx?
A
- desmopressin nose spray (DDAVP)
- MRI- rule out mass in post pit

- dehydrated
- severe hypernatremia!!
