  1. All scales have 8 notes either ascending or descending
  2. The top and the bottom note are the SAME
  3. Each scale follows the alphabet, there is one note on every line and a space in between the bottom and top notes
  4. Sharps and flats are written to the LEFT of the note
  5. When notes are drawn below the middle line, their sticks should go UPWARDS, when notes are drawn above the middle line, their sticks should go DOWNWARDS
