The office or headquarters of marine pilots; the place where the services of a pilot may be obtained.
Pilot station
The boat used by the pilot to come aboard is called pilot boat. this boat is very fast and used only by the pilot of the port.

It relieves the need to take a pilot on board.
- In some countries, masters and other ranks of ships may be issued with a PEC.
