- Weather reports and forecasts.

When may you log instrument time?
For a flight when the person operates aircraft solely by reference to instruments under actual or simulated.
What recent instrument experience must the PIC have? (6 H.I.T.S.)

- (I)ntercept & track courses through electronic naviation (S)ystems.
What if you’re not current in 6 months?
You can still log 6 HITS with a saftey pilot (simulated), instructor or examiner.
What rating must the saftey pilot have?
A private pilot with appropriate category and class.
What if you’re not current in 12 months?
You need a proficiency check by a CFII, examiner or approved person.
To carry passengers as PIC?
3 takeoff/landings in last 90 days in same category, class, and type.
To carry passengers as PIC at night? (1 hour after sunset, 1 hour before sunrise)
3 takeoffs and landings to full stop in last 90 days.

- Pilot Certificate
- Medical Certificate
- Photo ID (Passport, Drivers License)
- Restricted radiotelephone license for flights outside the U.S.
