Explain the Specialist training.
A
Complete IOT at Cranwell (phase 1)
Go through Ground school phase, Training begins Elementary Flying Training, flying the Tutor or the Prefect, at No 3 Flying Training School (FTS) at Cranwell 25-27 weeks (phase 2)

What happens after the Elementary Flying Training?
A
Streamlined to fast jet, multi engine or rotary depending on individual performance.

Explain the Training process for Fast Jet.
A
- Lasts 2 years
- Initially fly the Texan at RAF valley which after you gain your wings
- Then fly the Hawk T2 at Raf Valley
- Then after a successful phase of tactical weapons phase you will go to the OCU, (OPERATIONAL CONVERSION UNIT), to train a specific front line jet

Explain the Training process for Multi engine.
A
- lasts for 10 months
- First fly the phenom at RAF Cranwell
- Acquire wings to OCU train then fly operationally.

Explain the Training process for Rotary Wing.
A
- 18 months at RAF Shawbury
- Flying the the Juno and Jupiter.
- then awarded wings to go to OCU to train then fly operationally.

A tour can last 3 years.
