All substances and equipment should be sterile, as far as possible, and treated carefully.
All expiry dates and other instructions should be carefully checked.
All experimental animals should be healthy & judged fit for the experiment: check your animals carefully before starting any procedures.
Both Project Licence and Personal Licence should be checked to ensure appropriate authority exists.
The work area should be prepared appropriately – have everything you need before you start.

1) Attach appropriate needle
2) Insert needle and invert bottle
3) Fill syringe to more than desired volume
4) Carefully move air bubble to needle end
5) Adjust volume in syringe to target volume
