Obligations erga omnes
Obligations of a State towards the international community asd a whole; rights in the itnerest of all States.
Jus cogens
Peremptory norm of international law; accepted and recognized by the international community of states as a norm for which no derogation is permitted and which can only be modified by a subsequent norm of general international law having the same character.
Ex aequo et bono
According to right or good/from equity or conscience; parties to a case before the ICJ may stipulate and ask the Court to decide based solely on equity.

Opinio Juris
Recognition and feeling of a State that they are conforming to what amounts to a legal oblgiation, rather than something that is just done out of courtesy, fairness or morality
Persistent Objector
Since the process of formation and development of the custom, the State expressed its objection of the practice (clear and unequivocal)
