Males: umbilicus and pizzle on belly, anus and testes at rear
Females: umbilicus on belly, anus and vulva at rear

Piglet processing

A
  1. Teeth clipping to prevent damage to sow’s teats
  2. Ear notching for identification
  3. Iron injection as pigs naturally have low iron levels and can become anaemic
  4. Tail docking to prevent tail biting
  5. Castration to prevent boar taint

A

Up to 10kg: 20G and 0.5 inch
10-30kg: 18-20G and 1 inch
30-60kg: 18G and 1 inch
60kg and above: 18G and 1.5 inch
