No urine output post op
Check Foley (Kinked)
Flush with sterile saline (patent)
Bladder scan
Creatinine (can’t do fino without urine)
Prerenal:
Blood pressure, pulse, CVP if present
Renal sonogram
-or-
IVP (50 – hundred cc intravenous films at 5, 10, 15 minutes)
Management of oliguria
Fluid challenge
Evaluate fluid status with ultrasound with IVC
Look for collapse with inspiration
ASA Class
The relative risk of serious perioperative complications is 2.2 and 4.4 for ASA patient status III and IV, respectively, illustrating that increasing serious comorbidities (and therefore ASA classification) increases perioperative morbidity
ASA I
A normal healthy patient Healthy, non-smoking, no or minimal alcohol use
ASA II A patient with mild systemic disease Mild diseases only without substantive functional limitations. Examples include (but not limited to): current smoker, social alcohol drinker, pregnancy, obesity (30 3 months) of MI, CVA, TIA, or CAD/stents.
ASA IV
severe systemic disease that is a constant threat to life
Examples include
recent (
