Teenagers start to think in more complex ways. They can think about ideas that aren’t real and figure out problems by thinking through different possibilities.
Formal Operational Stage
Babies learn by using their senses and doing things. They start to understand that things still exist even when they can’t see them.
Sensorimotor Stage
This helps us understand things like conservation, which is the idea that something stays the same even if it looks different. We learn this by doing things and experiencing them firsthand.
Concrete Operational Stage
Children start using language and symbols to represent things and play imaginatively, but they think in simple, self-centered ways.
Preoperational Stage
