Which country thought that the earth was flat supported by 12 pillars?
India
Which country thought that earth was at the center of the universe?
Greece
Which country thought that the earth was supported on the back of the turtle?
Thailand
What is the geocentric model?
The theory of earth being at the centre of the universe and not moving
What is the motion that planets appear to go backwards?
Retrogade motion
What is the heliocentric model?
A model in which the Earth and planets orbit around the Sun which is at the center of the universe.
State two things that scientists do to collect evidence.
When scientists notice patterns they try to explain it by making models.
Make measurements and write them down.
What is the current model of the universe?
Our current model of the Universe says that our planets orbit around our
sun, and that our solar system is a small part of our galaxy, which isn’t in
the centre of the Universe.
Why did people think that the earth was flat?
Because the ground didn’t move.
Why did people think that the earth was at the centre of the universe?
The sun moon and stars appeared to move in the night sky.
Why did people think that the earth was supported on the back of a turtle?
The ground didn’t move at all.
What is meant by accuracy?
When youre trying to get your value as close as possible to the right value
What is meant by precise?
How consistent your results are when you’re doing an experiment more than 1 time
What is meant by repeatable?
A measurment is repeatable if the same person repeats the experiment using same method and equipment
What is reproducible?
A measurment is reproducible if another person or the same person get the same results with a different method or equipment
What is resolution?
The smallest reading in the quantity being measured
What is an anomaly?
Anomalous result is the result which doesn’t fit the pattern and should be circled or ignored
What is the independent variable?
The variable you change
What is the dependent variable?
The variable you measure
What is the control variable?
The variable you keep the same

Which part does the satallite LEO pass over
How long for an orbit
Any place
Around 90mins, anythign under 24hours
Which part does the satallite LOW polar Orbit pass over
How long does an orbit take
North and south poles
Less than 24 hr
Name three stars the same size as our sun
