Measurement
the determination of the size or magnitude of something
SI unit
the metric system that is used universally as a standard for measurements
Newtons first law
An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force
Newtons second law
the acceleration of an object is directly related to the net force and inversely related to its mass
Newtons third law
for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction
Distance
measures the length between objects or points without regard for direction
Direction
the location of something relative to something else
Speed
The rate of change of position of an object in any direction
Velocity
quantity that designates how fast and in what direction a point is moving
Acceleration
the rate of change of velocity over a designated distance
Freefall
any motion of a body where gravity is the only force acting upon it
Time
the measure of a change in a physical quantity or a magnitude used to quantify the duration of events
