What is MOD form S1325?

A

Record of security checks and cryptographic material

S1325’s that are completed are to be kept in the safe with the crypto. When the SCO carries out the check of his account at the 6 monthly muster they will be destroyed.

Describe the procedure for taking over the watch/duty

A

Rating in charge of duty musters all crypto they’re responsible for and the keys for the containers they’re in.

Carried out before their watch and then sign S1325

The Rating in charge of each watch/duty in the radio room is to muster the cryptographic material for which they are responsible and the keys of the security containers in which it is contained. This should be carried out before taking over the Watch/Duty and they’re to sign the S1325 accordingly.

Describe the Daily Muster

A

A daily muster of the cryptographic material and the keys of the security containers will be carried out by the PO/CPO.
On completion they will sign the S1325 to indicate the muster is correct.
They will mark their name and time the muster took place.

Describe the Weekly Muster

A

The SCO will muster all material signed from their charge. They will then sign the bottom of the S1325.

Describe the safe mustering procedure.

A
  • check the contents of the safe against the muster list
  • ensure that any deficiencies are accounted for for in the Temp loan book.
  • For a Spot check ensure that the person wishing to muster the safe has the authority to do so
  • present the contents list to the mustering officer (RN Practice).
  • Ensure that the S1325 is signed
