What is imagery
A mental technique in which the performer visualises themselves being successful in their performance
What is mental rehearsal
A performer picturing themselves practicing the skill in their mind, focusing specific stages and technique

Where a performer focuses their attention solely on what they are doing and ignore any other distractions
What is positive thinking
A performer being optimistic of a future performance, being confident about winning, shutting out negative thoughts
What is negative thinking
When a performer is not optimistic about their future performance and are not confident about doing well

Improve concentration, relieve stress and anxiety, help with relaxation

Speeds up reactions, allows concentration and focus, keeps you calm

Picturing yourself doing the skill from outside your body

Stimulating the feeling of the activity inside your body
