SAVING UP FOR A RAINY DAY
Saving money for when it’s really needed.
E.g It is never too late to start saving for a rainy-day fund.
MAKE MONEY
Means to get it by any means. It could be earning money by working or by selling things.
E.g I made money by having a garage sale.
INHERIT MONEY
Can mean to receive money from someone who’s died.
E.g I inherited money from my grandmother.
FIND MONEY
Means to discover something, in this case, without expecting it.
E.g I found money on the floor while I was running.
BORROW MONEY
Means to get money from a person or bank with the intention of giving it back.
E.g I borrowed money from the bank to buy a house.
PUT/SET MONEY ASIDE
If you put/set aside money, you save it for a particular purpose.
E.g Every week I put aside some money for a new TV.
