To cease making an effort

-I don´t know the meaning of that word, I need a dictionary to look it up.

To invite someone to go out
- He asked me out for dinner, I think I like him.
break up
To end a relationship
-We broke up a year ago.
bump into/run into
To meet someone on the street by coincidence
-Guess who I ran into this morning? Jessica, she looked happy.
cheer up
when you cheer up or when something cheers you up and stop feeling depressed.

To make a social visit to (a place)
