Photosynthesis - ATP and ADP Flashcards
1
Q
ATP
A
- has the same features as a nucleotide (sugar, phosphate, base)
- it only has one base (adenine)
- contains ribose sugar
- they have 3 phosphates unlike DNA and RNA
2
Q
ADP
A
- only has 2 phosphates
- when a bond between 2 phosphates breaks, ATP becomes ADP
- ATP —> ADP + inorganic phosphate
