  • Very user friendly
  • Small and lightweight
  • Easy to carry, store and transport
  • Inexpensive

Digital Point and Shoot disadvantages:

A
  • Camera controls image capture
  • Often no viewfinder/LCD framing
  • Low light photos are poor quality
  • No long exposures (problem in low light)
  • Often cannot shoot closer than 3 ft
  • Auto focus system slow, capturing about 1 second after pressing shutter (shutter lag)
