17
Q

techniques and processes of multiplicity

A

-firstly take a photo of the plain background
-then position your subject and take photos without moving the camera
try to keep it steady so when you are using photoshop there isnt different lighting and movement of the camera. (this was essential as my photograph was capturing my subject sittting so I had to make sure where they were sitting was a straight line)
-after you have to upload the photos to your computer by the memory card
-once the photos loaded onto the camera you have to download them to photoshop
-used ‘quick selection tool’ to roughly go over subject (making layers)
-showed all photos added together so i could see if the spacing was right
used brush tool to do smaller areas

18
Q

chosen subject matter/ skills developed and refined

A

Subject matter- Hanna
Skills refined- In photoshop the brush settings changed it from white to black with opacity 50% for inbetween legs so it looks more realistic with shadows

19
Q

multiplicity - artist influences

A

I was influenced by Li Wei with using multiplicy by using photoshop

20
Q

analogue photography process

A

take the film out of the camera inside a black box so it isnt exposed to light.
once it is in the tub with lid on you have to develop the film with chemicals
with contact sheet you use enlarger by firstly mixing chemicals, and enlarger.
Manipulate the enlarger so that the light rays will cover the size of the paper (set the aperture to f8)
put the negatives in the enlarger
expose the paper to the light for 10 seconds
after take the photgraphic paper and put it in the developer for 1 min lightly agitating it
then use tongs and put it in the stopbath for 30 seconds
then … for 1 min
after this chemical process put in water for 5 mins

21
Q

analouge art elements, principles +aesthic principles

A

explored high contrast

22
Q

chosen subject matter + artist influence (analouge)

A

subject matter is nature and a tree as I took inspiration from Albert Renger- Patsch and how he was a trained botanist which I tried to capture his eye for detail by focussing on a part of the plant

23
Q

skills developed and refined

A

Refined how much light I had to expose the photograph to.
when I started I exposed the negatives to light for 8 seconds where there was not much contrast so i did a trail strip looking at the different contrast when I put the test strips in segments where some would get 5 secs and 10 than 15 seconds and so on
ended doing -30 seconds
-adding a filter 3
