These are important to ensure that the population is healthy. It covers the duties of health care professionals, hospitals, local government units,
and the health rights of people.
Health Laws
This law assures each couple has the right to
determine its ideal family size. This law, commonly referred to as the Reproductive Health (RH) Law, ensure the
universal access of commodities, services, and
education on family planning, maternal health,
and sexual health.
R.A 10354: Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive
It is illegal in the Philippines, this law
highlights that the government shall ensure that
all women who had abortions, spontaneous or
otherwise, will receive the appropriate care.
Abortion
It was especially created to benefit
the poor. Since most of the poor do not have
access to health care, this law assures them that
they can have equal opportunity to avail of
family planning services just like everybody can.
RH Law or Reproductive Health Law
It aims to protect Filipinos from the harmful
effects of tobacco smoke. The law states that
smoking is prohibited in areas where minors may be
located such as schools and playgrounds. Public
vehicles, medical facilities, and food preparation
areas are also considered non-smoking areas. The law also prohibits individuals younger than
18 years old from buying, selling, and
consuming cigarettes and other tobacco
products.

A clear warning stating the dangerous effects of
tobacco smoke to health must also be place on
all packages of tobacco products.
