It may be performed to drive away evil spirits, ask for a favor to have a child, give thanks for having recovered from sickness, favors granted, and vows fulfilled

During this period, folk dances became a popular pastime for Filipinos and at the same time, some traditional Filipino dances were also kept alive, such as the Tinikling, Carinosa, and Kuradang
American Period
A traditional dance originating from the towns of Bicol and Sorsogon subregions, is still widely performed during wedding festivities by the couple and their guests
