Phases are determined by how much of the illumination half you can see
What are the phases of the Moon?
the moon waxes as it passes through the crescent, first-quarter, gibbous, and full moon. The moon is then said to wane as it passes through the gibbous, third-quarter, crescent and back to new moon.
How long does it take the Moon to cycle through its phases?
29.5-day cycle, about 3 days in each phase, about 15 days from full to new or vice versa
What causes seasons?
Tilt on axis, angle of light, how long the sun is in the sky
Do all planets have seasons?
No the have to have a tilt on there axis
What is the difference between a solar and lunar eclipse?
lunar eclipse - when the Moon passes through Earth’s shadow. occurs during full moon phase
solar eclipse - when the Moon’s shadow is cast on the Earth. occurs during new moon phase
