Mastoid process of skull
What is the action of the sternocleidomastoid?
Bilateral: Flex head and neck
Unilateral: Laterally flex head and neck
Where is the origin of the trapezius?
Occipital bone and spinous process cervical and thoracic vertebrae
Where is the insertion of the trapezius?
Spine and acromion process and lateral clavicle
What is the action of the trapezius?
Superior fiber: elevate scapula
Middle fiber: retract scapula
Inferior fiber: depress scapula
