  • Promotes good health and wellbeing, and acts to prevent harm to the patient
  • prevents the supply of unnecessary and/or excessive amounts of medicines or any products which may cause harm
  • provides evidence based recommendations
  • promotes continuity of care (providing info to relevant health professionals and making appropriate referrals)
  • facilitates and tailors service to patients individual needs, abilities and culture.
