Sulphonamides
General dose: 200mg/kg - initial dose, half for subsequent
Potentiates Sulphonamides - dose is lowered by 30 to 50%
Thiopental 5% Solution
General dose: 15mg/kg BW - IV
Atropine
General dose:
Pre med - 0.02 to 0.2mg/kg BW - SC
Antidotal treatment - 0.01mg/mg BW - IV
Neostigmine
General dose: 0.06mg/kg BW - SC
Dogs: 0.03mg/kg BW -SC
Doxapram
Puppies, Kittens = 1 to 5mg Lambs = 5 to 10mg Calves = 40 to 100mg Postanaesthetic: Dogs, Cats = 1 to 5 mg/kg - IV Horses = 0.5 to 1mg/kg - IV
Caffeine 12.5% solution
Cattle, Horses = 2.5g
Pigs, Sheep, Goats = 0.25g
Dogs, Cats = 0.06g
In dogs depends on BW 0.06g is dogs up to 10kg
Ivermectin
Cattle, Sheep = 200 ug/kg BW
Pigs = 300 ug/kg BW
Xylazine
Cattle = 0.05 to 0.3 mg/kg BW
Horses= 0.6 to 1 mg/kg BW
Dogs, Cats = 3 mg/kg BW
Ketamine
