Pg. 49 Translation Flashcards
The Scythians and Indians, to whom the roman name had not been known before, sent gifts and ambassadors to him.
Galatia quoque sub hōc prōvvincia facta est, cum anteā rēgnum fuisset, prīmusque eam M. Lollius prō praetōre administrāvit.
Galatia also was made a province under him, although it had been a kingdom before, and Marcus Lollius administered it as the first governor.
Moreover, he was so loved among the barbarians that the kings, friendly to the Roman people, founded cities in honor, which they called Caesareas.
Moreover, many kings came from their kingdoms to honor him, and in Roman dress, wearing the toga of course - ran beside his vehicle or his horse.
Moriēns Dīvus appellātus est.
Dying he was named deified.
