You should use depuis in the present tense to say how long something has been happening e.g. Je joue au tennis depuis cinq ans. ( I have been playing tennis for five years.)
What should you watch out for in your listening French exam?
You should watch out if you hear a person talking in the first person (the je form) you need to change the je form verb into a third person (the il/elle form). This rule is needed to ensure you answer a question properly look out for it!!! E.g Je fais…Noah fait
