What is a perspective?
A perspective is how particular situation is viewed and understood by an individual. It is based on a mix of personal and collective assumptions, values, and beliefs.

What is perspective in comparison to an argument
Perspective = worldview
Argument = A justification of a perspective
What is a value?
Values are qualities or principles that people feel have worth and importance in life.
What is a broad value
Life goals, general guiding principles and orientation towards the world.
What are specific values?
Judgements regarding nature’s importance in particular situations.
What is a worldview?
Worldviews are lenses shared by groups of people through which they perceive, make sense of and act within their environment. They shape peoples values and perspectives through culture, philosophy, ideology, religion, and politics.
What is an ecocentric perspective?
Sees the natural world as having pre-eminent importance and intrinsic value.
What is an anthropocentric perspective?
Views human-kind as being the central most important element of existence and it slits into a wide variety of views.
What is a technocentric persective?
Assumes all environmental issues can be resolved through technology.
