frantic efforts to avoid abandonment, strained relationships, self-harm to regulate feelings, stress-related mood and psychotic-like tendencies
borderline pd - treatment?
metallisation (reflection during stress), DBT - dialectical behaviour therapy - makes emotions more predictable
antisocial pd - presentation?
offending behaviour, difficulty controlling impulse/ anger, cannot empathise
antisocial pd - Tx?

pts are very suspicious of people
schizoid pd?
lack of interest in social relationships, prefer solitary living , apathy and detachment
schizotypal pd?
thought disorder, paranoia, a characteristic form of social anxiety, derealization, transient psychosis, and unconventional beliefs
narcissistic pd?
inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others
histrionic pd?
characterised by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking behaviours, usually beginning in early childhood, including inappropriate seduction and an excessive desire for approval
avoidant pd?
characterised by feelings of extreme social inhibition, inadequacy, and sensitivity to negative criticism and rejection
dependent pd?
feel helpless, submissive or incapable of taking care of themselves. They may have trouble making simple decisions
