A

The ever-present predatory threat in the future (the unknown). But the dragon also guards treasure. So there is opportunity along with threat, for those who have courage.

A

The fact that we co-evolved with snakes. Primates with snakes in the environment have great vision; lemurs have terrible eyesight (no snakes). Our eyes evolved to see snakes.
