what was Stalin’s character?
he held a strong position in the party, as a member of the Triumvirate that dominated the central committee
what was Trotsky’s character ?
he was widely regarded as the most important in the party in 1924 he held power and prestige from the revolution and civil war
what was Kamenev’s character ?
he was capable and intelligent he was a skilful politician and good at managing situations
what is Zinoviev’s character?
he was intelligent and well-educated he had a reputation for being vain, unpredictable and prone to mood swings

he was associated with the right wing and was supported by Rykov and Tomsky he worked closely with Stalin and Tomsky

Trotsky was arrogant and popular and jewish and all of these are factors that Stalin manipulated to have him removed from the party
