Personal questions Flashcards
Why cybersecurity?
The reason I’m here today is because I’ve had a lifelong passion for technology. For example, growing up, I was always the one with a home computer where I started learning about troubleshooting and problem-solving. It began by helping my parents and others with their computers, and over time, I developed a keen interest in technology—constantly updating myself with the latest advancements.
This curiosity has stayed with me and continues to drive my interest in technology today. Alongside my technical background, which I’ll elaborate on, I also have experience in social work, and through that, I’ve developed a strong desire to make a positive difference. This drive to help others has always been a motivating factor for me.
A few years ago, my interest in cybersecurity started to grow, and it felt like the perfect combination of making a difference while applying my technical skills. It felt like the right moment to turn this passion into a professional opportunity. I took the leap and decided to enroll in school, and since then, I’ve only felt more confident in my decision.
Why are you applying for the role of Security Analyst?
During my internship with the team, I’ve really enjoy working with the company and have built a strong rapport with the team. It’s a supportive, friendly environment with a lot of opportunities for learning.
The role of a Security Analyst is a perfect combination for me, as it allows me to work in cybersecurity while continuing my personal need for education and growth. The clear structure within the team provides an excellent opportunity for continuous learning and development, which aligns perfectly with my professional goals.
I find problem-solving in cybersecurity to be incredibly rewarding. Every challenge provides an opportunity to think critically and find creative solutions to complex issues.
What are your goals, and what do you want to achieve in the future?
My goal is to build a solid knowledge base and gain the experience necessary to eventually take on a consultative role. The cybersecurity industry offers a fascinating exchange of knowledge, and I aspire to reach a level where I can contribute back to the community. With a strong foundation, I aim to understand how to design and shape systems for the best possible security.
What are your strengths?
I have a naturally analytical mindset and am a critical thinker by nature, always striving to understand the problem at hand deeply before taking action. I am determined to build a solid foundation of knowledge, which allows me to tackle tasks and challenges effectively.
I also work very well in teams and am a strong communicator. In my previous roles, I took great pride in my sense of responsibility, ensuring that the team’s goals were met and that we collaborated effectively to achieve success.
