Q

why doctor and not nurse?

A

Nurses are amazing and without them I believe that doctors would not be able to do what they do. While they are such an important of the MDT and have a crucial role in patient care I do believe that doctors are more on the management side of patient care. I do recognize that nurses are also very understanding of pharmacology and are also able to make decisions for their patients, doctors get to make the ultimate decision when it comes to diagnosis and treatment for patients, and nurses collaborate with them to put the pans into practice. I really do value that role of leadership and the problem solving skills you get to develop through the process of going to medical school. To be a physician you have to go through medical school and you get to graduate with a certain level of knowledge in which you know a little bit about every thing.

Q

why this school?

A

well, it was actually really unexpected but when I started looking into med schools, I actually found out that a friend of a friend who had lived near me attended Queens for medicine. So I started looking into the school in depth and I was really intrigued by the teaching style of case-based learning and how at queens you would get early clinical access in your first year where your interacting with patients as well as whole body directions which I thought was really cool and I know that other med schools around the Uk don’t have that opportunity. Queens also offers some exchanges across the world in the last years of study and I love to travel so it was definitely something that caught my eye.
