What does ‘Show Respect’ mean and how have you demonstrated this?
Communicate with integrity
Collaborate as a team
Demonstrate gratitude
Show respect to the patient by treating them as a person, introducing myself when appropriate.
Show respect to my fellow staff members by including them in decision making. (Tasked to multiple locations, which way would you prefer to go first) (show gratitude by thanking them for their efforts that day)
What does ‘Practice Fairness’ mean and how have you demonstrated this?
Practice and promote a just culture
Be accountable for our actions
Act with good intent, listen and reflect
Self reported forgetting to bring the tech log shortly after the base fire.
What does ‘Utilise Diversity’ mean and how have you demonstrated this?
Value all teams’ expertise, skills and views
Actively seek knowledge and experience from different perspectives
When new to RFDS I was surrounded by people with years and years of experience. I would ask the nurse and doctor what a particular strip was like compared to one i know to gain an understanding of. This teamwork gave me a little more information as to what to expect
What does ‘Be Safe’ mean and how have you demonstrated this?
Put safety and wellbeing into the forefront of everything we do
Speak up and empower others to do so
This is not something that I am going to give a single example of but say its how I operate from day to day. I make every effort to comply with the rules and regs and the ops manual and if I am unsure I will ask. How to write up
